Youth Awareness Environmental Forum (YAEF/Nepal) is a community based non-profit media membership organization, established in 1994 A.D. This YAEF is registered according to law of press and publication act 2049 B.S. This YAEF is an association which is concerned with motivates environmental awareness in the masses and performs social work. It is not a normal NGO but a medium of communication as well as an organizational forum.
YAEF/Nepal is the member of International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN), South Asia Youth Environment Network (SAYEN), Community Broadcasting Association of Australia (CBAA), Community Media Association (CMA) and World Water Council (WWC), Japan Water Forum (JWF), Asia-Pacific Water Forum (APWF),International Water Association (IWA), affiliated with United Nation Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC) and Global Water Partnership (GWP). The forum has conducted several programs as co-partner of Children and Youth/Sports and Environment Unit (UNEP).
The forum is also member of the World Association of Community Radio Broadcaster (AMARC). The forum has established a Women Division which is also member of the World Association of Community Radio Broadcaster (AMARC)'s Women International Networks (WIN
The general Assembly elects the executive body of the forum and the executive body of the forum conducts various activities of the forum
This Forum consists of 13- member- Executive Committee, 24 patrons and 20 advisors in addition to 6 non- Nepali patrons. This Forum offers membership to those giving notable contribution to environmental conservation with NRs 5001.00 for ordinary membership, NRs10001.00 for patron and NRs. 15001.00 for institutional membership. In case of foreigner, one should pay US$100 for ordinary membership and US$1001 for patron. Membership is to be renewed every year
