 Youth
Awareness Environmental Forum arranged a Banner show on the
occasion of the world environment day 5th June 2005 at venues
Ratnapark, Kathmandu and Lalitpur, Lagankhel. On the occasion,
the Executive Chairman Mr. Astaman Kisee Maharjan and Advisor
Padam Bahadur Sapkota made the speeches about the programs
and activities of the organization. To inform about the program
the representatives of almost all leading daily's and weekly
newspapers of the nation were present.
Youth Awareness Environmental Forum organized secondary level
valley speech competition program on which 34 schools' of
the valley represented with 68 representatives the topic was
"Green Cities Plan For the Planet". The main slogan
was coined by UNEP. The competition was held on the Namuna
Machhindra Secondary School Lalitpur Lagankhel on June 4,
2005. In the competition the first, second and third positions
were held by Jusmita Gautam of Saint Merry Secondary Boarding
School, Manprit of Manjushree Secondary School and Reetu Karki
of Blue Bird Secondary School respectively. Teachers, students,
guardians, socialists and other people from different place
of Katmandu valley were present on the occasion.
On the occasion of the world environment day 2005 poster and
parches were distributed to change the slogans into action
on June 4th 2005. The awareness topics were; be aware about
for surrounding environment, pay keen interest about environment
activities that are going on your society, raise voice against
the activities that are directly affecting the environment,
conserve the source of water, stop using plastic made products,
raise voice against chimney brick industries, stop the stone
curser industries and so on. The program was conducted jointly
by the Representative of SAYEN, National Focal point Mr. Deepak
Acharya and YAEF..
 Valley
bicycle rally was organized on June 5th 2005 with the slogan
"The slogans of the World Environment Day should be transferred
into action; Unite for the Healthy, independent and wealthy
society". The rally started from Lagenkhel and followed
Jawalakhel, Pulchowk, Kupondole, Tripereshwor, Sahidgate,
Sundharas, Newroad, Bhotahity, Jamal and Gantaghar and changed
in to awareness gather. The rally was inaugurated by the Country
Representative of IUCN Nepal Mr. Sagendra Tiwari. The gather
was addressed by the executive chairman of the forum Mr. Astamam
Kisee Maharjan and Chief Advisor Member of the forum Mr. Bharat
Jung Rana and the program was regulated by the program coordinator
of the forum Mr. Rajendra Maharjan. There after the gather
again changed into rally and visited the main chowks and places
of Kathmandu as Bagbazar, Maitighar, Putalisadak Exhibition
Road, Singadurbar; Maitighar Thapathali as so on and accomplished
by reaching at the forum's Head office environment Cycle Radio
F.M. 104.2 MHz. broadcasting station, Badegaon Godabari conservation
area. So as the rally was lead by the executive chairman of
this forum Mr. Astaman Kisee Maharjan and Program coordinator
of this forum Mr. Rajendra Maharjan. Teachers, students, journalists,
and social workers were presents actively on that rally.
 A
talk program is organized on the occasion of the world environment
day June 5, 2005. The topic of the talk program was "Protections
of the Environment in Nepal Problems and their Solutions."
The cultural program was jointly organized by Youth Awareness
Environmental forum (YAEF) and Environment Cycle Radio F.M.
104.2 MHz(ECR FM). The program was organized on the occasion
of the world Environment day June 5 in city hall, Rastriya
Sava Griha, Exhibition Road, Kathmandu in 6 June 2005. In
the cultural program different cultural dance, different educational
dramas & different Environmental related songs were performed.
