level open Valley Speech competition Program on which, 18
schools of the valley represented with 26 representatives
. The topic was " Melting Ice:The Hot Topic " which
was provide by the United Nations Environment Programme UNEP.
The competition was held on the Environment Cycle Radio F.M
104.2mhz venue Badegaon, Thaiba on 4th June 2007
On that competition , Sanjay Chaulagain pupil of Everest Higher
Secondary School was first, Rajani Shrestha of Valley Public
School was second and Nirajan Dual of Manjushree Secondary
School was third, this competition was valley surround.
The program was conducted under the chairmanship of Station
Mannger Mr Nabin Maharjan and program co-coordinator was Mr.
Surendra Subedi , Medals and Certificates were distributed
for the winners by Sineer Teacher Mr Thakar Shrma renounced
environment conservationist . On that occasion chairman of
this forum Mr. Astaman Kisee Maharjan informed about the environmental
library, Teachers, Students, Guardians, Socialists and other
peoples were present form different places of kathmandu valley
on that occasion . The program was regulated by the Station
Mannger Mr Nabin Maharjan ,MD of Krishna Bhakt Awal delivered
a speech about this forum's activities .In this programme
the welcome speech was delivered by Mr Navaraj Sanjel Administrative
officer of ECRFM104.2Mhz
Valley Bicycle Rally
This forum organized Valley bicycle rally on June 5th 2007
with the slogan that "the slogans of the World Environment
Day should be transferred into action; Unite for the healthy,
independent and wealthy society" The rally started at
Lagenkhel and followed Jawalakhel, Pulchowk, Kupondole, Tripureshwor,
Sahidgate, Sundhara, Newroad, Bhotahity, Jamal and Ghantaghar
and changed in to awareness gather. The rally was inaugurated
by Mr Ghan Shyam Paudel Secretary General of Janamorcha Nepal
. The gather was addressed by the Chairman of this forum Mr.
Astaman Kisee Maharjan the program was regulated by the program
co-coordinator of this forum Mr. Nabin Maharjan. There after
the gather again changed into rally and visited the main chowks
and places of Kathmandu as Bagabazar, Putalisadak Exhibition
Road, Singadurbar Maitighar Thapathali as so on and accomplished
by reaching at Lalitpur Lagankhel. Mr. Astaman Kisee Maharjan,
Teachers, students, journalists, and social-workers were presents
actively on that rally .
Distribution of posters and parchas :
On
the occasion of the World Environment Day 2007 this forum
distributed posters and parchas enlisting the slogan that
'To change the slogans into action" on June 6th 2007.
The awareness topics were; be aware about your surrounding
environment , pay keen interest about environmental activities
that are going on your society, raise voice against the activities
that are directly affecting the environment, conserve the
source of water, stop using plastic and plastic made products,
raise voice against chimney brick industries, stop curser
industries , and so on . The program was conducted jointly
by the Chairman of this forum Mr. Astaman Kisee Maharjan and
the program co-coordinator of this forum Mr. Deepak Achya.
This program was organized to aware people about their surrounding
and the matters that are related to environment .This Program
was conducted at Godabari, Badegaon, Lagankhel, Bhaktapur
Durbarsquare and other main chowks and places of the city
. Teachers, students , journalists, Social - workers and other
members of Society were actively involed on that program.

5th June 2007 at different venues of Kathmandu valley. Venues
were Ratnapark, New-Baneshwor (KTM); near to Durbar Square
(BHK) & Lagankhel, Harihar Bhawan (Infront of UN House)-Lalitpur.
The program was arranged in order to aware & awake people
to commit to take the slogan in to action coined by UNEP.
Banners represent UNEP's and other environment related slogans.
On the occasion, the Executive Chairman Mr. Astaman Kisee
Maharjan, YAEF members: Hishila, Ratna, Krishna, Puskar, Dipak,
Nabin, Rajendra, Veshraj, Dil Bhakta, Nuiccha Ram,Rabi, Rajib,
Shyam, Dev Krishna, Ram Krishna, Milan, Rajesh Bal Krishna,Bhaja
Ram, Ram Kumar and many other members were present.
Interaction Program June 6, 2007
An interaction program was organized on the occasion
of the world environment day June 5, 2007 at Nepal Bar Association
Hall, Supreme Court, Kathmandu. The topic of the talk program
was "ROLE OF ELECTRONIC MEDIA IN THE SECTOR OF CONSERVATION
OF ENVIRONMENT". On the program various important persons
were present though the invitations was spreads towards all
diplomat Embassy's, ambassadors, counselor sections, government
ministry, teachers, students, & local people. Interaction
program was started on 14:00 hour's of the day after lightening
the lamp by the program chief guest Mr Babu Ram Nakarmi renounced
environment conservationist. On the program Mr. Thakur Khanal
Managing Director of Rupandehi FM, senior Teacher Pro. Mr
Thaker Sharma, Mr Predip K.C Executive Director of Madhyapuwa
F.M.,ECRFM104.2MHZ Station Mnager Mr.Nabin Maharjan and Administrative
Officer Mr Navaraj Sanjel & so on Much more various sector's
personnel were the guest and journalist, lawyer, reporters,
YAEF members, local people were also present. Speaking towards
the mass, Chairman of YAEF Mr. Maharjan said about the present
situation of the organization & working shedule of ECR
FM 104.2 MHz. The main remarkable thing is that YAEF is affiliated
member of UN/DPI since Dec 16,2003.He also request to developed
& under developed countries to alert in environment. The
program was end after tea break wishing all the best &
prosperity.
World Environment Day June 5, 2006
Every year YOUTH AWARENESS ENVIRONMENTAL
FORUM (YAEF) organizes Three-days (June 4, 5 & 6) on the
special occasion of WORLD ENVIRONMET DAY. The Main slogan
of World Environment Day coined by UNEP is "Don't Desert
Dry lands". Similarly, thisyear YAEF has celebrated following
programs successfully.
Speech Competition:

National Focal Point Mr Deepak Archarya) mutually organized
a secondary level valley speech competition program on June
4, 2006. For the program 62 participants from 35 schools were
present. The competition having a topic "Conservation
of Earth" was held on DAV International School Jawalakhel,
Lalitpur. The program was run during 11:00 to 18:00 hours
among teachers, students, guardians, socialists and other
people from different locations. Ms Sheekha Basnet of Saint
Merry Secondary Boarding School, Ms Samita Dhital of Reliance
International Academy, Ms Neha Karki of Kingdom Star High
School and Mr Birodh Adhikari of VS Niketan were placed First,Second,
Third and Forth respectively. Winners were awarded with Shield,Medals
and Certificates by the chief Guest Senior literati Mr. Mukunda
Sharan Upadhhaya. The Speech Competition was judged by the
judging committee members including Dr. D.B. Singh. And also
the committee members were reminded by token of Love. The
program was hosted by the Program Co-ordinator Mr. Dipak Acharya.
On the occasion refreshment party was also organized. The
main intensity of the competition was to keep awareness, how
to save the Earth & its environment form student level.

On the occasion of the world environment day 2006

F.M. 104.2 MHz and South Asia Youth Environment Network (SAYEN
National Focal Point Mr Deepak Archarya) mutually had distributed
poster and pamphlets among masses at different places of Kathmandu
valley on June 4, 5 & 6th, 2006 with motive to aware people
hand to hand. The main slogan of the world environment day
2006 coined by UNEP was "DON'T DESERT DRYLANDS".
And in order to take this slogan into action the forum is
raising voice against the activities directly affecting the
environment. In pamphlets, the forum has summarized rapidly
required issues on slogan like "REMOVE PLASTICS, SAVE
ENVIRONMENT", "BAND BRICK CHIMNYS, PRESERVE ENVIRONMENT"
& "CLOSE STONE-CONCRETE INDURSTY, PRESERVE NATURE
AND HERITAGE"
Valley Bicycle Rally :
Valley bicycle rally was organized at 8:00am
on June 5th 2006 in order to aware local people of the valley.
The main objective of this function was to remind and utilize
people about the slogan launched by the UNEP-DON'T DESERT
DRYLANDS. The program was inaugurated by Mr. Amik Sherchan,
National Chairman of Janamorcha Nepal.The rally started after
speeches made by YAEF's Chariman Astaman Kisee Maharjan, Chief
Advisor Bharat Jung Rana and Chief Guest Amik Sherchan from
Lagenkhel and followed Jawalakhel, Pulchowk, Kupondole, Tripureshwor,Sundhara,
Newroad, Bhotahity, Jamal, Gantaghar, Bagbazar, Putalishadak,Vrikuti
Mandap, Bhadrakali, Sahidgate, Tripureshwor, Kupondol, Patandhoka,Patan
Durbar Square, Satdobato, Harisiddhi, Thaiba and lastly reached
up to Head Office Badegaon. All about 275 participants had
participated the rally covering about 35-kilometer route.
T-shirts, Caps indicating UNEP's slogan and certificate were
awarded to all the participants. Participants were refreshed
by cold water and refreshment party.
Interaction Program June 6, 2006
An interaction program was organized on the occasion of the
world environment day June 5, 2006 at Nepal Bar Association

poem written by senior environment poet Mr. Bharat Jung Rana
published under YAEF. This book was the first in the history
of Nepal, which was written in Nepali and translated in English
language. The program was inaugurated by Chief Guest Mr. Ram
Babu Shah, assistant chief for Local United Nations information
center who had introduced the book also. Interaction program
was started on 14:00 hour's of the day after lightening the
lamp by the program chief guest Mr. Shah. On the program Mr.
Thakur Khanal Managing Director of Rupandehi FM, senior literati
Pro. Mukunda Sharan Upaddhaya, Binod Palikhe from central
member of Journalist association, YAEF's Chairman Mr. Astaman
Kisee Maharjan, co-professor Mr Madhav Lamsal & so on
Much more various sector's personnel were the guest and journalist,
lawyer, reporters, YAEF members, local people were also present.
Speaking towards the mass, Chairman of YAEF Mr. Maharjan said
about the present situation of the organization & working
shedule of ECR FM 104.2 MHz. He had also expressed his grief
for YAEF members towards UN's Information Center assistant
Chief Mr. Shah, not to getting opportunity to participate
UN monthly meeting in New York. The main remarkable thing
is that YAEF is affiliated member of UN/DPI since Dec 16,2003.
Program was summarized on the presidency of YAEF's founder
member Dr.D.B. Singh. He also request to developed & under
developed countries to alert in environment. The program was
end after tea break wishing all the best & prosperity.
